Celebrating World Mental Health Day - Mental Health Awareness Training

posted Sep 29, 2017, 6:59 AM by Rebecca Barker

One in four adults and one in ten children are likely to have a mental health problem in any given year. This can have a profound impact on the lives of tens of millions of people in the UK, and can affect their ability to sustain relationships, work, or just get through the day.

To raise awareness of this, World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilising efforts in support of mental health.

To celebrate this day, LSCP is hosting this awareness course, which is aimed at all staff working in a social care environment.  A general understanding of the issues associated with Mental Health will be established
