Please note that this consultation closes on 18 June. Skills for Care represents adult social care employers in England. One of our roles is to manage Apprenticeship frameworks for adult social care in England. As such, we would like to hear the views of employers and learning providers across the sector on required revisions to the Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management. This is a consequence of changes made to Specification of Apprenticeship Standards (England) (SASE 2013) which can be viewed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/specification-of-apprenticeship-standards-for-england Significant changes have been made which will particularly affect Higher Apprenticeships. As a result, we will need to make amendments to the existing framework in order that the framework is compliant with the new SASE. Changes include the raising of the minimum credit value to 90 credits and the removal of transferable skills, employment rights and responsibilities and personal learning and thinking skills as elements of Higher Apprenticeships. We would appreciate your views on our proposals for change to make us compliant with SASE 2013.
