Liverpool has been gathering a lot of attention recently with some of the innovative work which has been taking place in the social care sector. Events such as the Social Care Hackdays and Innovation Unconferences offer interesting new ways of looking at both traditional and modern social care issues. These events have made way for a multitude of exciting new projects across the city, but what is lacking is the ability to test ideas on a sample group of care providers and gather feedback from those who are working in the sector.

Here at Liverpool Social Care Partnership we want to establish a collection of care providers who are willing & excited to be involved in the latest innovative solutions to a range of issues which affect care providers and service users. Our Provider Innovation Group will allow us to test ideas and prototype solutions in a safe, evaluated environment. One of the biggest fears when developing innovative solutions is the possibility that what is being created is not what is needed on a daily basis, by taking part in the group you will be able to direct the technology companies to help the designers of products understand what the real needs are in the social care sector.
