If you wish to claim Workforce Development Funding (WDF) this funding year you will need to provide relevant evidence as specified by Skills for Care (Page 4 of the Guidance for Employers Page 4 of the Guidance for Employers 14(10.4.13)v1 document). If you encounter any difficulties obtaining the completed Unit Summary Sheets from your training provider to use as evidence for WDF claims, or your training provider wishes to charge you for issuing copies of your Unit Summary Sheets it is now possible to claim Workforce Development Funding using a copy of the candidate certificate as long as it is accompanied by a summary of the completed units (writing on the Skills for Care codes if your awarding body uses differing codes). The Certificate Date must fall within our funding year - even if the qualification was completed last year, when claiming using the certificate method, it is the certificate date which takes priority. If you have any questions or want further advice, please call 0151 427 7044. Please read the original email below for more information: Dear all We have received feedback which has highlighted that some employers are struggling to get the evidence they need from training providers to claim WDF, as they will not provide them with unit summary sheets, or want to charge for providing these. We have reviewed our evidence requirements in light of this feedback and have identified an alternative evidence requirement for claiming WDF. We will either accept unit summary sheets or training provider equivalents as advertised on our website or we will accept a copy of the learner’s certificate, with a summary of units completed. Copies of certificates being used as evidence must contain the following information:
You should retain copies of certificates for sampling and audit purposes in exactly the same way that you would unit summary sheets, as set out in the grant award letter, Appendix 4: Evidence Requirements; 2 - Acceptable Evidence. |
