Thursday 7th November 2013

Duration: Half day
Venue: Allerton Synagogue Hall, Malcolm Malits Court, 207 Mather Avenue, Liverpool L18 9UB

The purpose of this training is to provide information and resources to those of you who work with or have some connection with members of the Jewish Community. We aim to inform you about the traditions, ways and lifestyle of Jewish people.

You will learn about the cultural needs of the Liverpool Jewish Community and you will be enabled to apply this information to your own job role.

  1. Welcome and registration - 9.00 am 
  2. Introduction and background to Merseyside Jewish Community Care 
  3. The Jewish Way of Life:
    • Rules of kashrut
    • Culture
    • Bereavement
  4. Tea/coffee break 
  5. Visit to Synagogue
  6. Course feedback
  7. Course ends 12.30 pm
