Pathways to Work

LSCP has been given funding to assist workless adults (19+), to freely participate in a 5-day programme, which supports individuals to prepare for and progress on to further training, volunteering and employment.

LSCP has worked over 10 years now support and preparing adults in social care, by delivering an accredited pre-employment training course with Liverpool Adult Learning Services.

Through our experience, we had identified many of the people whom we were engaging, needed an earlier intervention to support them before their participation in both employability and pre-employment in social care.

With this in mind we developed our values-based, person-centred change course 'Pathways to Work'. The course aims to provide learners with sufficient knowledge, confidence and motivation to enable you to prepare for further training, employment or volunteering opportunities.

Learning covers a range of topics including:
  • Developing Effective Communication skills for work
  • Understanding and Developing Business Behaviours
  • Understanding and Developing Good Social Behaviours
  • Developing Personal Presentation
All of which, will help build confidence and self-esteem and hopefully support you on your employment journey.

Some eligibility criteria does apply to join the programme this includes;
 - Aged 19+, Currently unemployed, In receipt of one of the following benefits; Job Seekers Allowance, ESA WRAG (Work Related Activity Group), Universal Credit or Income Support.
