Learning Outcomes

Participants will explore what arthritis is and develop an understanding of how healthy joints work and how they can be affected by the condition.

The course examines the different types of arthritis, helping learners understand how symptoms and progression can vary between individuals. Participants will explore common forms of arthritis, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and how these conditions can affect movement, comfort, and independence.

Learners will also gain awareness of the diagnostic process, including how symptoms may be assessed and the types of medical investigations that can help identify arthritis and determine the most appropriate support.

The training explores a range of treatment and management options, including medication, physical activity, therapies, and lifestyle approaches that may help reduce symptoms and maintain mobility. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on increasing awareness and supporting individuals living with arthritis to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
