Gill Thompson

Having spent 30 years in accountancy including managing my own practice I joined Liverpool Social Care Partnership in 2017 as non-executive director, in this role I provided business strategy advice and support. In the past 5 years I have become more actively involved in LSCP as Finance Director overseeing budgets, reporting on financial performance of the company and ensuring compliance.

During 2025 I have become Managing Director, following the sad loss of our founder Mrs Mikaela Williams-Brown.

My role is direct operational management, whilst my role has changed, the core values of Liverpool Social Care Partnership remain the same and we will be committed to making a positive difference to the adult social care sector.

Helen Scholefield

Helen has over 30 years of working within the social care sector, this has seen her develop from roles such as Residential Child Care Officer to Registered Manager and finally company director. She has worked within in both statutory and voluntary sectors around the country.

Helen’s specialist areas include the fields of Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. She has extensive experience within older people’s services and knowledge of and vocational practice within children’s services. Moving from residential services into community based services in the early 1980’s.

Helen’s directorship at LSCP has seen her contributing to the strategic development of the organisation and since 2013 she has been also operating as a trainer within the organisation.

Ann Garvey

Key Account Manager

Ann is currently leading on our contract with Better Security, Better Care. As Key Account Manager, she is responsible for ensuring we offer an accessible, supportive and flexible service to enable Adult Social Care providers to complete the DSPT.

Ann has within Adult Social Care for 25 years, ensuring providers remain up to date with digital working practises in the sector and that their staff and organisation are equipped to deliver their services using digital working methods.

José de la Cruz

Training Manager

José began his career in Social Care in 2000 as a Support Worker before progressing to Team Leader and Service Coordinator. With over two decades of experience, he has worked extensively in Learning Disabilities, supporting individuals of all ages and varying needs across residential, supported living, and community settings. José has also supported people with brain injuries and those experiencing mental health challenges.

AT LSCP, José manages all of our training.

Carley Kennedy

Admin Manager

Carley, as a recent law graduate, joined LSCP in 2019 initially as a volunteer. Carley is now our Administrative Manager.

In her current role, Carley liaisons with employers, supports students, coordinates job fairs, and facilitates networking opportunities that bridge the gap between education and employment. “My favourite part of my job is interacting with students. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing them grow and step confidently into their new careers.”

Mohamed Jaishan

Key Account Manager/Project Support Officer

Jaishan joined LSCP in July 2022 and has a passion in driving digital transformation and cyber awareness within the adult social care sector. He co-leads the DSPT project, coordinating sessions, analysing compliance data, and supporting care providers to strengthen their digital standards. Jaishan also manages the Northwest Cyber Digi-Tech Network, working with regional partners and leading LSCP’s marketing and communications activities.

Shean Solomon

Administrative Assistant

Shean joined LSCP in June 2023 part-time as an Admin Assistant, where he managed bookings and assisted with digital services.

He now works full-time and closely with Carley on job fairs, manages admin for LSCP Training, liaises directly with our partners, and has developed a passion as a tutor for the Pre-Employment Training Programme.

You’ll also often find him behind the scenes at our Partnership Meetings, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Ann Cullen

Training Consultant

Ann joined LSCP in 2022 delivering DSPT sessions and became a trainer in 2023. With a BSc (Hons) in Biology and ICT and a PGCE, she taught ICT/Computer Science for 16 years, leading a department. She now designs and delivers training, assesses learners, and creates accessible resources.

Ann is also a qualified yoga teacher, reiki healer, and NLP Practitioner, with a strong focus on wellbeing, digital inclusion, and lifelong learning in tech and social care

Sandie McMahon

Administrative Assistant

I’m Sandie. 

I worked for the NHS for 25 years as an administrator in both community and hospital settings. In 2020 I took retirement. Being used to working full time, I welcomed the chance to work part time with LSCP. My journey started in 2023. What a difference a job change makes.

I have learned different skills, and I now deal with the LSCP membership and training information, and a wide range of administrative duties.

Ukhunamure Eriata

Project Support Officer

Serendipity played a key role in Ukhunamure’s journey to becoming a Project Support Officer at LSCP in June ’24. After dedicating 13 years to IT at Ambrose Alli University in Nigeria and completing an M.Sc in Cyber Security at Liverpool John Moores University 2024, he discovered a newfound interest in social care through LSCP’s Routeway Programme.

He supports in IT-related duties. “I am happy to be part of this family, with a wealth of diversity and inclusion,” he happily shares
