Learners will examine their role in safeguarding assessments and any subsequent interventions, including working collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Participants will also consider how to respond when they disagree with safeguarding decisions or actions taken by other agencies, understanding appropriate escalation procedures and professional challenge. In addition, the course covers the principles of information sharing, including when it is appropriate to share information, who it should be shared with, and how information should be recorded and stored securely in line with legal and organisational requirements.
