NW Cyber Digi-Tech Network Regional Summit Successfully Brings Together Care and Digital Leaders in Lancashire

Liverpool Social Care Partnership (LSCP) successfully hosted the NW Cyber Digi-Tech Network Regional Summit yesterday at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall Preston, bringing together professionals from across adult social care, digital transformation, cybersecurity, local authorities, and healthcare systems.
The event focused on strengthening digital awareness, cyber resilience, innovation, and collaborative working across the adult social care sector throughout the Northwest of England.
The summit opened with discussions around Digitisation in Adult Social Care: Progress, Pressure, and Risk, exploring both the opportunities and challenges facing providers as digital transformation continues to reshape the sector.
Attendees heard valuable insight from industry leaders and digital specialists, including: Digital Care Hub, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board, NHS Greater Manchester, Lancashire Constabulary Cyber Team, NW Cyber Resilience Centre, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Wirral Council, Care Association Alliance (CAA)
Key themes discussed throughout the day included:
- Data usage and digital access within adult social care
- Digital ethics and AI in care
- Digital maturity and implementation challenges
- Cyber incidents and organisational resilience
- The importance of digital inclusion
- Practical cyber protection strategies for providers
- Future-focused digital care innovation
Interactive activities, including a Digital Process Mapping Session and the highly engaging Cyber Escape Room led by Lancashire Constabulary Cyber Team, encouraged collaboration and practical learning among attendees.
The summit highlighted the growing importance of partnership working between care providers, IT professionals and public sector authorities to ensure the care sector remains digitally safe, resilient, and future-ready.
