Liverpool Social Care Partnership

Liverpool Social Care Partnership was initiated by Skills for Care in 2001, as one of 23 Social Care Partnerships around the country, with the appointment of a Workforce Development Manager, the truly remarkable Mikaela Williams-Brown. Mikaela worked tirelessly to develop a sound, focused consortium comprising organisations from the Social Care sector. In 2009 she recognised that government funding was likely to change and suggested that we form a Community Interest Company.

Liverpool Social Care Partnership (CIC) was registered in 2010 and the provider representatives who were then co-ordinating the partnership, were invited to become Directors of the new company.

We are a Social Enterprise specialising in Social Care sector issues. We are helping to change the face of social care through promoting best practice, providing training for the current workforce at all levels and delivering fully accredited qualifications in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care.

In the ever-changing social care environment, we also have become the leading organisation in the North West, to support the sector in becoming digital, with all that entails. The Partnership is viewed as a valuable means of drawing together providers for mutual support.
