From Career Change to Meaningful Employment -Andrew’s Story with LSCP
When Andrew began looking for a career change, he wasn’t sure where to start — but he knew he wanted to do something more meaningful. That’s when he came across LSCP’s adult social care courses and everything started to fall into place.
“I was going through a career change and wanted to try something different” Andrew shared. “Getting into adult social care felt like the right direction, and the course - Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care - at LSCP, turned out to be the perfect first step.”
Andrew first enrolled in the Level 1 course, where he gained essential knowledge about the adult social care sector. The experience was very positive and he immediately signed up for the Level 2 course as well. What happened next exceeded his expectations.
“After finishing Level 1, I was offered a job, which I was really happy about. I accepted the offer and now I’m working full-time with a local charity called Options for Supported Living, supporting adults with learning disabilities.”
Andrew credits the course with boosting his confidence and employability. “It has definitely made me more prepared to step into the workplace. I feel like I can really use what I’ve learned right away.”
